What you need to know about Far Infrared Ray Therapy
What is an infrared wave?   The visible portion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) is what we call light and this range is from the longer wavelength red to the shorter wavelength of violet. This visible portion which can be seen by the naked eye is a small segment of the range of the EMS. Ultraviolet, Gamma and X-rays are shorter wavelengths which emit high energy radiation which can be damaging to us. At the other end of the invisible spectrum are infrared, radios and microwave which are low energy longer wavelengths. Infrared radiation although not visible can be experienced as heat. The sun emits infrared rays and amazingly our body also emits infrared radiation. Just by rubbing the palm of the hands you release the energy felt as heat. This infrared radiation is generated to “lay hand on areas of the body where increased circulation could reduce the discomfort of swelling and pain”. This is the principle on which the popular practice of Reiki is based. This healing practice dates back hundreds of years and is still valued today in Eastern and now Western cultures.   Types of office and home Far Infrared Ray (FIR) devices used in healthcare include: ✔ Infrared lamps ✔ Infrared sauna ✔ Infrared mats   The therapeutic value of FIR lamps, sauna, and mats FIR rays can penetrate the layer of skin, tissues (muscles, bones) and organs of the body. The rays gently elevate the surface temperature of the skin and this results in dilation of the blood capillaries. This increase in microcirculation helps more oxygen and nutrients circulate to the areas of the body most in need of detoxification and regeneration.     Medical conditions that may be improved by using FIR ray technology   Far infrared (FIR) therapy is used in the medical and healthcare services to temporarily soothe muscles and stimulate the natural functions of the body. Far Infrared has shown to support the relief of several wellness concerns: ✔ Pain relief ✔ Sore muscles ✔ Chronic fatigue ✔ Elimination of water retention ✔ Detoxification to eliminate lactic acids, free fatty acids, excess sodium and uric acid as there is sweating when the FIR therapy is used ✔ Improvement of blood circulation where applied Professionals continue to test the effects and applications of far infrared rays. There are many studies that attempt to tackle major wellness issues such as cancer, diabetes, and arthritis. While some of these studies have produced positive results, it remains unclear exactly what level effectiveness FIR therapy actually has on these conditions. It is possible that someone could make a breakthrough discovery in a few years, months, or even days.   A word of caution   While there are wellness benefits associated with FIR therapy, there is a word of caution with its use. Designers of medical devices have made therapeutic devices accessible and safe for home use. It is important however to read the instruction and use as advised by the manufacturers. With respect to the FIR ray lamp, one must be careful about using the device. The distance for use of the FIR from the body and the period of exposure to the rays are important instructions to take note of.   For information on the FIR mats, you can contact us by phone (888) 774-4422 or by email info@HealthyLine.com.

What Works as a Lightweight PEMF Device?
While constantly on the go, it’s not uncommon to experience any kind of discomfort. Whether you feel tired, experience muscle aches, or are simply stressed, it can often be hard to focus on and treat your discomfort. Luckily there are some devices designed not only to help with pain, but be lightweight enough to bring with you on-the-go to fight discomfort whenever it arises. One example of these products is a lightweight PEMF device! Pulsed electromagnetic fields, or PEMF, has been demonstrated through studies to provide a litany of benefits to those who use it  regularly. However, it can be difficult to experience these benefits on a regular basis when you’re always on the go. Many of us have to work five days a week, have to commute a long-way to get to that place of work, and have to stay at work for at least eight hours a day. That doesn’t leave us with a lot of time left to focus on our wellness. It is at these moments  that a lightweight and compact PEMF device works wonders in providing those natural benefits when you want them and, more importantly, when  you need them! What are the Unique Benefits of a Lightweight PEMF Device? If you’re already knowledgeable about PEMF, you’ve likely heard about the potential  benefits it can provide. The common benefits often discussed include pain relief, muscle relaxation, and relief from stress among other things. So, are there any drawbacks for using a lightweight and compact PEMF device? To answer simply: no! With a lightweight PEMF device, you may not get a full body experience but you are able to target specific areas of the body whenever, wherever. A lightweight PEMF device can be used in situations when you may need PEMF the most. Whether during your commute or at work (and depending on what job you have) you might spend most of your time in a seated position. Staying seated for most of the day means you live a sedentary lifestyle, which certainly is not the most healthy lifestyle to lead. Staying seated over long periods of the day can lead to dangerous habits forming within your body. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to your metabolism slowing down, causing you to gain weight and create other health problems. High cholesterol, diabetes, weakened muscles, weakened bones, and even a weaker immune system  can all be symptoms of a sedentary lifestyle. These things may sound frightening, but for many of us, they may  also seem inescapable.  With the addition of a lightweight PEMF device, you can help prevent some of these outcomes just from using your device during the day. For example, if you are sitting at your desk and start to feel the first signs of discomfort, you’ll have your PEMF device there waiting to provide comfort and relaxation! A PEMF device can temporarily improve circulation where applied, keeping blood and oxygen flowing to the areas of the body that need it. PEMF can help to keep your muscles loose and relaxed while you aren’t using them. A PEMF device can provide relief from long bouts of sitting, which can cause your body to cramp and seize up.  A lightweight PEMF device is also great for those who travel often and experience travel-related discomfort. There are many PEMF devices on the market that are compact and travel-friendly, letting “frequent flyers” get the relief they need when on the move! HealthyLine’s Lightweight PEMF Pads for Relief On-The-Go! At HealthyLine, we wanted to create PEMF devices not just for full-body wellness at home, but also one that is lightweight and compact for on-the-go wellness! The TAJ-Mat™ Small 2020 is just one of our PEMF devices created for that purpose. Not only does it feature PEMF, but also hot gemstone, far infrared, negative ion, and photon light therapies. Because it has a sturdy surface, it is great to place on the back of a desk chair or flat on the floor for back relief.  Another example of one of our lightweight PEMF pads is the TAO-Mat® Small 1818 Photon Matrix PEMF. It still features PEMF and the functionalities featured in the TAJ 2020 but with a targeted photon light matrix. The TAO 1818 is also more flexible than the TAJ 2020, making it still great to lie flat or place in a chair as well as having the ability to wrap around certain areas of the body such as the legs or arms. Either of these two PEMF devices are designed with convenience of use and on-the-go wellness, so be sure to get yours today!                            In Conclusion Discomfort doesn’t wait for when it’s convenient – it can hit at any moment! That’s why it’s important to have the tools ready to ensure discomfort doesn’t stop you in your tracks. A lightweight and compact PEMF device is excellent to ensure wellness whenever and wherever. What to Know About PEMF Arthritis Treatment
Suffering from any kind of pain can be a speed bump you have to go over every day. Specifically, arthritis can make you feel stiff and rigid–almost as if your body is unwilling to do simple movements. There are a few ways to deal with arthritis such as medication or physical therapy, but did you know PEMF can help with arthritis pain, too? Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, also known as PEMF, is a revolutionary method of holistic, natural healing that influences your body to optimize healing. The list of ailments that PEMF therapy has been effective against seems to grow as more information about the process undergoes more clinical research. One of the most recognized uses of PEMF therapy is the ability to handle the symptoms of arthritis. Here we will discuss what PEMF is and how it can be used to deal with arthritis.   What is PEMF? PEMF therapy is a natural method of managing pain and discomfort that can be implemented with the use of pulsating magnetic fields emitted from an electromagnetic system. PEMF therapy helps to alleviate the symptoms of various ailments, helping to increase wellness by improving the body’s natural ability to heal itself. In other instances, PEMF therapy has shown great promise in dealing with symptoms of depression, migraines, and even diabetes.  Similar to how heat and cryotherapy work on the body, PEMF helps to soothe muscles after strenuous exercise or other activities. The upside to using PEMF therapy is that there are no extreme temperatures to deal with in order to attain results. Extreme heat or extreme cold has the potential to damage both your skin and your nerves with prolonged use. PEMF therapy, on the other hand, does not impact your skin with extreme temperatures, allowing you to use the therapy for as long as you want with no adverse effects.  There are other notable advantages to using PEMF therapy. One great benefit of PEMF therapy is that it can temporarily increase local circulation. If you use a larger PEMF device, you can widen the area on your body that receives this particular benefit. Improved circulation leads to speedier bodily recovery from injuries.    How Does PEMF Arthritis Treatment Work? Arthritis is one of the more common forms of joint issues that you can deal with. The symptoms of arthritis include swelling and tenderness in your joints accompanied by stiffness and pain. Arthritis can appear at any time in your life, but it usually appears later on in adulthood and progressively worsens over time.  There are multiple forms of arthritis, but two of the most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis involves naturally occurring damage to your joints, only sped along by possible infection or other external issues. The lining of your joints wears away with osteoarthritis, and too much wear and tear on your cartilage can induce swelling and inflammation. Rheumatoid arthritis sees the body attack itself like an autoimmune reaction. In this particular situation, the body’s immune system attacks your joints. Over time both cartilage and bone can end up being eaten away and destroyed. Some forms of arthritis might not be so familiar but are forms of arthritis nonetheless. For instance, gout is a form of arthritis that focuses on the toes and can move towards the knees and hands. Another form of arthritis is Lupus, an autoimmune disease that can become way more serious than other forms of arthritis. Lupus is one form of arthritis that cannot be explained by doctors, but it can attack your joints, your organs, and even your brain. Arthritis can cause severe issues later in life. Your ability to move your limbs and carry out simple tasks can become severely impaired. Studies have shown that PEMF therapy can be instrumental in handling pain and inflammation associated with arthritis. In addition, PEMF arthritis treatment can also help with the restructuring of bone disfigured over time. This places PEMF therapy as a prime alternative for arthritis therapy.   What’s A Good PEMF Device? HealthyLine produces a wide variety of PEMF devices, all of which are paired with other natural therapies to promote an overall improvement in health and wellness. But out of all of them, the Platinum Mat 7224 is the best-of-the best! It features a fully customizable PEMF that allows you to adjust the PEMF frequency, intensity, waveform, and pulse duration to achieve certain health outcomes. You can create over 600 billion combinations of PEMF! And even if you’re unsure what settings to use, it includes 12 preset programs that are activated at the touch of a button. Aside from that, the Platinum Mat 7224 includes all of our other natural therapies, taking wellness to a whole new level! In Conclusion Arthritis afflicts millions of people every day. The older we get, the more susceptible we are to suffering from arthritis. Also, the longer we suffer from arthritis, the worse the affliction can become. Having a way to help deal with this issue and the symptoms it brings on can be invaluable. Some bouts of arthritis can end up robbing you of your ability to move around freely and complete menial daily tasks. Hundreds of different variations of arthritis exist and can become major issues in the future. PEMF arthritis treatment has shown great promise in helping to alleviate the more prominent symptoms. Handling things like pain, inflammation, and bone disfigurement while providing joints with protection for joints makes pulsed electromagnetic field therapy a suitable remedy. With very few side effects associated with the use of PEMF therapy, there are virtually no downsides to treating your arthritis in this manner.

What is Photon Light Therapy and How Does It Work
Over the last couple of years, low-level light therapy has grown in use among medical professionals to improve the health and wellbeing of their patients and clients. One such form of low-level light therapy is photon light therapy.  Skincare practitioners and medical professionals have found that photon light therapy has helped their patients combat the ill effects of acne, and have seen some positive results photon light has had on skin rejuvenation. But before we delve into the benefits of photon light therapy, let’s learn about what photon light therapy actually is.  What is photon light therapy? In this blog post, we will go over what photon light therapy is, how it works, and different products that you can use to receive it.  What is Photon Light Therapy? What is photon light therapy? For more than 40 years, light therapy (also known as photodynamic therapy) has been a scientific curiosity among researchers. Since the discovery that some forms of light have positive effects on the body and the cellular level, researchers have been studying light therapy. Clinical studies by NASA (yes, that NASA), the Mayo Clinic, and Stanford University have demonstrated that photon therapy can aid in pain relief, can help reduce inflammation, decrease stress levels, and much more.  Essentially, photon light therapy uses visible red light to support wellness by stimulating cellular activity. This red light is at a wavelength of 660 nanometers. When photon light touches the skin, it is absorbed as a form of energy in the cells. Once this energy is absorbed in the body, it forms nitric oxide. This stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (or ATP, if you recall your high school science class). ATP is essential for cellular functioning. It’s what gives cells their energy. Benefits of Photon Light Therapy There are many benefits of photon light therapy. Those benefits include:  May alleviate depression Improve motor function Improve nerve regeneration Assists in wound recovery Improve skin and acne  May Alleviate Depression Wellness is not just about how the body feels. It’s not just how physically fit you are or how many miles you can run. Wellness is not defined only by your biceps or your weight. Wellness is also about your mental and spiritual health. Unfortunately, many people struggle with their mental health. One of the biggest issues people face is depression. In fact, depression affects about 264 million people worldwide. Photon light therapy might help alleviate depression. There is still research going on to verify these claims, so this is not a stated-fact, but it is a likely outcome.  One study with about 20 patients with seasonal affective disorder were treated with 2 hour light therapy sessions. The most positive results came from the use of green light, decreasing the effects of depression in those individuals who received that treatment. This study’s results speak to the potential of light therapy and photon light when it comes to supplementing depression treatment routine. Improve Motor Function There has been a lot of research on the effectiveness of photon light therapy (or light therapy, in general) on animals’ motor function. One study tested whether light therapy could improve the motor function of rabbits that had recently suffered a stroke (I know, very sad). The researchers concluded that light therapy administered six hours after a stroke yielded some very promising improvements in motor function.  Improve Nerve Regeneration Believe it or not, over time, nerves can regenerate. Photon light therapy can help nerve cells regenerate which can help combat inflammation and pain. Assist in Wound Recovery Photon light therapy can assist with wound recovery. In fact, it can help you recover even faster! Now isn’t that great? Many studies have shown the photon light therapy can aid in the regeneration of collagen, a protein commonly found in the skin and other tissues. This protein plays a role in skin regeneration. As a person ages, they produce less collagen; the skin soon shows a sign of aging.  Some studies indicate advanced wound healing for people who suffer from diabetes; traditionally, those who suffer from diabetes have a longer healing time. Though the studies may be out for a coherent answer about its ability for wound recovery, the preliminary studies look promising.  Improve Skin and Acne One of the industries that are researching the effects of photon light therapy is the skincare industry. Since light therapy affects the skin on a molecular level, it has the potential to affect the complexion of the skin in a more positive way than other therapies. In a recent survey of patients with a form of acne called “acne vulgaris,” 85 percent of subjects reported a reduction of at least half of the lesions on their skin after about two months of photon light treatment. Of those cases, about 20 percent saw a dramatic reduction of their acne by nearly 90 percent after 3 months of photon light therapy treatment.   Exposure to photon lights at 311 to 313 nanometers enables the body to produce vitamin D, which can contribute to the growth, repair, and metabolism of skin cells.  Photon Light Therapy Mats by HealthyLine Each of our mats is designed to enhance your wellness potential. What is PEMF Treatment?
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, otherwise known as PEMF therapy, has shown immense promise in the area of holistic healing. A form of non-invasive treatment, PEMF therapy has been touted as a suitable replacement for traditional pain medication. Magnetic therapy in general has been used in one form or another for centuries. But what is PEMF treatment, and how does it benefit you specifically?  Here we will explore the origins of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, its advancements, and how to use it in order to achieve the results you want. How Did PEMF Therapy Get Started? PEMF treatment came together and was primarily used as a method to treat racehorses. But now it’s finding a new purpose in treating people! The roots of PEMF treatment started out as a simple form of magnetic therapy. The act of gliding magnets across your body was said to ‘unlock’ certain parts of your body, promoting wellness by reinvigorating the cells in the local area. However, over time magnetic therapy has seen many advancements, one of which added an electrical aspect to the therapy, not unlike how our own molecules and atoms produce electromagnetic fields of their own. Both magnetic therapy and electrotherapy have existed for a while in their own right. However, the combination of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy would not be recognized as a feasible method of treatment by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) until the late 1990s. Research into PEMF ramped up during the 1950s. While the first PEMF machines were made available for purchase during the 1970s, the main applications for PEMF therapy were primarily focused on animals, specifically racehorses in this instance. PEMF treatment was used to treat injured racehorses with great success. It was only a matter of time until PEMF was considered for human treatment.   What is PEMF Treatment? Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is a method of pain relief that non-invasively impacts your cells directly. The idea behind PEMF treatment is that the electromagnetic fields of the  cells can be stimulated to influence your overall health. PEMF therapy can be used to help with multiple forms of ailments. A PEMF device can be used to help alleviate muscle and joint pain, boosting the body’s process of recovery from injury or strenuous activity.  It is important that we understand the distinction between PEMF therapy and magnetic therapy. Magnetic therapy, otherwise known as static magnetic therapy, utilizes magnets that give off a constant magnetic field. There is no way to alter the field given off by a static magnet, and in many instances the magnetic field is extremely weak (especially compared to PEMF) and does not have an impact on the body. On the other hand, electromagnetic devices are more complex. They are typically created when a ferromagnetic core (materials that are naturally magnetic) is wrapped in wiring and electricity is added through the wire, thus creating a magnetic field. Depending on the electric voltage, electromagnetic devices can be extremely more powerful, but PEMF therapy is not considered dangerous and uses a safe level of magnetic strength. Also, because electricity of the coils can be controlled, the magnetic field that is released can also be manipulated for health and wellness purposes.   What are the Benefits of PEMF Treatment? There are many benefits to using PEMF therapy, the first being pain relief. As mentioned earlier, PEMF therapy can help to alleviate muscle pain and joint pain. However, PEMF therapy can do so much more. PEMF therapy can help individuals dealing with arthritis. Both the pain and the stiffness associated with arthritis can be mitigated through the use of PEMF.  PEMF can also be used to help relieve headaches and migraines. The major benefit here is that PEMF therapy has the potential to be used as a supplement or even a full replacement for physical drugs and painkillers. Some forms of pain can be chronic and require constant monitoring and medication. While, traditionally, physical drugs took care of your pain, they also had the issue of becoming addictive. PEMF therapy has no side effects to speak of and is considered an effective and safe alternative to over-the-counter and prescription drugs. Other benefits of using PEMF therapy include increased local circulation, which further promotes recovery of an injury. Another benefit involves an increase in range of motion. Over time, using a systematic plan for PEMF therapy can help to deal with diabetic symptoms and also help to bring about nerve repair.   Where Can You Receive PEMF Treatment? If you’re looking for a solution to chronic pain, you might be interested in a PEMF device. But what should you look for in a PEMF device? Many PEMF devices have varying degrees of success and functionality. HealthyLine has added PEMF therapy to our mats in order to heighten the level of wellness you receive simply by lying on the surface of one of our mats! A mat that offers PEMF treatment is the Platinum Mat™ Full 7224 Firm - Photon Advanced PEMF InfraMat Pro®. The Platinum Mat 7224 offers a powerful level of PEMF therapy with the convenience of a home based device. It allows you to fully customize the PEMF frequency, intensity, pulse duration, and shape waveform to let you create over a billion combinations of PEMF!  The Platinum Mat 7224 also includes four other natural therapies that can help to supplement PEMF therapy. Each of these extra therapies can be controlled independently in order to uniquely regulate your wellness sessions. Heated stone therapy can help to soothe and relieve muscles and joints. Along with far infrared therapy and PEMF, our mat takes pain relief to a whole new level. You can even control the temperature of the heat, allowing you to rest comfortably while treating your body Other therapies are included in the Platinum Mat 7224, such as negative ion therapy and photon light therapy. Negative ion therapy allows for harmful free radicals inside the body to be nullified, creating benefits like a clearer mind, better oxygen flow, and the ability to fight off headaches. Photon light therapy has the ability to help deal with depression symptoms, regenerate nerves, and even improve your skin. In addition to the wonderful benefits of PEMF treatment, four supplementary therapies combine to improve the level of overall wellness you enjoy.  In Conclusion PEMF treatment can do so many wonderful things for you if added to your wellness regimen. It can improve your circulation where applied. It can promote faster levels of healing and recovery. It can help alleviate the symptoms of migraines. It can even soothe your muscles and joints without the extreme temperatures of heat and cryotherapy. PEMF therapy offers a myriad of benefits that can put you on the right track towards achieving your wellness goals in a safe, effective, and holistic manner.

What is PEMF Therapy and How Does It Work?
PEMF therapy, or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, is a revolutionary therapy system that not only gets rid of pain deep inside your body but can also take your health and wellness to new heights. This advanced therapy has helped thousands of people ease their discomfort. Whether you have minor body aches or debilitating arthritis, PEMF is something you should consider. So, what is PEMF therapy? It basically works by sending electromagnetic waves through your body to heal and rejuvenate your cells. This strengthens your body naturally and safely. When you use PEMF, you will be able to notice improvements in your physical and mental states.  Here at HealthyLine, we are the only health and wellness brand that combines PEMF and hot gemstone therapy to give you a powerful therapy that enhances your wellbeing. But to fully understand how this all works, we first should understand how this interesting, yet uncommon form of therapy was first developed.  So, let’s get down to business! History of PEMF and magnetic therapy How did PEMF first get developed? Well, before we get into all that, let’s discuss the history of magnetic therapy in general.   Magnetic therapy is a method of easing discomfort. This therapy dates back almost 2,000 years to the ancient Greeks. They would use what was called “lodestones” to eliminate aches and pains within the body. These stones are naturally magnetic and were simply placed on the body. Since then, however, modern science has determined that this treatment actually does nothing to your body. Regardless, the concept of using magnetic stones for health benefits was the first stepping stone for PEMF.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TC04AgXEzQ Starting in the mid-1800s, electricity was first being implemented in numerous technological inventions. One of these was electric therapy which was used to stimulate and treat muscles in the body. This is basically referred to today as electromagnetic therapy. Nikola Tesla even studied pulsed electrotherapy and mentioned its potential before many other scientists understood its powers.  PEMF therapy as we know it today was really first developed in the ‘60s and was, and still is to an extent, a new and unknown form of therapy. These devices were rather complex at first and are a little different nowadays. Since then, the FDA has approved PEMF treatment for a variety of conditions such as nonunion fractures and brain cancer—for brain cancer, it’s a specific portable device that uses low-intensity electrical fields. PEMF is also commonly used to help improve people’s overall health and wellness.  Why You Want PEMF Therapy? A common question among those considering PEMF as a treatment usually is “why would I want to have magnetic waves go into my body?” or “aren’t PEMF and magnetic waves dangerous?” Both of these are great questions!  PEMF and its magnetic fields are not dangerous. What is dangerous, however, are EMF waves that are released by practically every kind of electronic device—cell phones, Bluetooth devices, WIFI routers, powerlines, and so much more. These can throw off the natural magnetic frequency of our body. Put simply, PEMF works to reset your body’s charge and rebalance your electromagnetic energy. Furthermore, HealthyLine PEMF mats are all completely free of EMF waves that can sometimes be released from heated wiring in therapy mats( or chairs) if they aren’t protected.  What is PEMF Therapy? Ok, we’ve been talking about PEMF’s history and why you need it, so I’ll get to the point and finally answer the question “what is PEMF therapy?”  PEMF therapy sends electromagnetic currents through your body by generating them in a set of coils. These coils are electrically charged and, when they are activated, release these waves. Pretty simple, right? Not at all, really. But we’ll leave all of the technical stuff to the scientists!  All that you need to know is that PEMF waves can have certain frequencies, intensities, pulses, and waveforms (among other things). These different parameters have different effects on your body. HealthyLine uses a PEMF frequency of 7.83 Hz which is the natural magnetic frequency of the earth. This may seem like a small detail, but this allows your body to return to its natural and optimum state. How PEMF and It All Works? So, what happens when PEMF passes through your body? When our body is exposed to PEMF, it heals our body at a cellular level.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcBUdrzGDDU Each of our cells throughout our body has a membrane. The membrane is like an “outer shell” that allows molecules to pass in and out of the cell. It also has an electromagnetic charge that determines how permeable the membrane is. When our membrane’s charge is weakened, it doesn’t allow as many molecules and nutrients to pass through the cell. It also slows down the process of removing waste to keep the cell clean.  When our cells are exposed to PEMF, the electromagnetic charge of the membrane becomes balanced, making the membrane more permeable. This allows the necessary amount of nutrients to enter the cell and cleanses it of toxins. PEMF therapy also improves circulation through our blood vessels and heart. Because cells make up the entire human body, when they are healthier, so is the rest of our body.  What Benefits You’ll Receive? The effects that PEMF has on our cells can give our bodies so many health and wellness benefits from a physical level to a mental one. These can include: Pain reduction Bone regeneration Arthritis and stiffness relief Improved focus and energy Relief from depression and anxiety Pain reduction PEMF therapy improves circulation throughout your entire body. This allows more blood, including white blood cells, to reach areas of pain and reduce tension. And when your circulation is enhanced, more toxins are also able to be flushed from your body to keep you in tip-top shape. Because it can help relieve your body’s discomfort, it is a great tool to use if you suffer from minor aches or chronic pain. It is also used to help regenerate muscles after working out or exercising.  Arthritis and Stiffness Relief PEMF is known to be an effective tool to fight back against arthritis. It can even be used to release general stiffness in your body. These symptoms can affect just about anybody, regardless if they’re young or old. Just like it does with pain relief, the enhancement of your circulatory system lets more blood reach your joints to aid in the reduction of swelling or inflammation that can be preventing your joints from functioning properly.  Bone Regeneration There has been research that indicates the effectiveness of PEMF in the treatment of bone fractures and regeneration following either an injury or surgery. Although PEMF is known to help treat a wide variety of conditions, its effects on our bones have been the most studied by the scientific and medical community. It can also be effective at helping treat tears in the rotator cuff as well. This is because PEMF targets bone cells and can help them grow and improve at a faster rate than bones not exposed to PEMF.  Improved Focus and Energy When you use PEMF therapy, you are more likely to be in a better mood, feel more energized, and notice improvements in your ability to focus. This is a result of enhancements to your blood flow, allowing your body to absorb more nutrients and oxygen. You will also be able to cope with stress in a more effective way and for longer periods of time.  Relief from Depression and Anxiety The FDA has approved PEMF therapy as a treatment for symptoms of depression. These treatment sessions usually involve placing the PEMF device against the head to send pulsed waves into the brain to stimulate brain activity, causing blood flow to be enhanced and energized. This makes PEMF a solid alternative for those who cannot take medication or haven’t seen any improvements in their symptoms from medication.  Conclusion So, after taking in all of this information, I hope you have an answer to your question: “What is PEMF therapy?” Even though a lot of this information hasn’t been medically or scientifically proven, there are so many reasons why you should at least try this incredible form of therapy.  If you are going to try PEMF therapy, then there is no better option than to choose one of HealthyLine’s products! We provide a lot of great options that have helped thousands of people improve their health and wellness. We also offer the only PEMF devices that combine PEMF therapy and heated gemstone therapy. These two therapies amplify each other’s effects and provide a holistic approach to obtaining your wellness potential. Treat yourself to the revitalizing powers of PEMF therapy!

What is Negative Ion Therapy and How Does It Work
Let’s do a thought experiment like one of those that Albert Einstein is famous for. Except, unlike Einstein, we won’t be using any math or concerning ourselves with science (per se). Instead, let’s imagine we are on a nice path surrounded by nature on all sides. This path leads through green foliage and colorful flowers. Up ahead, is a mountain that’s covered with snow. There is nothing around us. There is no one around us. We seem to have forgotten all of our worries and are out here breathing the fresh, freeing air.  Doesn’t this sound nice? Doesn’t it sound like the sort of thing you should do every weekend?  Now, imagine this for a moment. Keep that feeling with you. What do you feel when you’re out in this natural wonder? Peace, right? You feel free. You feel a sense of euphoria.  Why do you feel that way? Well, partly because you are somewhere that doesn’t involve work emails or phone calls—somewhere that you don’t have to worry about all the work-a-day things. But, it’s also because of a memory. What memory? Well, any memory you have of experiencing the outdoors. You remember that feeling of serenity and peace.  Where does the root of this feeling come from? It comes from something called negative ions.  “Negative what?” You ask, thinking that this doesn’t sound good. Negative ions, despite their name, are actually really positive.  What are negative ions? They’re small particles (subatomic, to be exact) that are found in nature (like the scene we mentioned above). These little ions have been shown to generate positive emotions in people. Hence the positive feelings we were just talking about.  The good thing is, these positive atoms can be created right at home with negative ion therapy.  In this blog post, we will answer the questions you probably have right now: “What is negative ion therapy?” and “How does it work?” We will answer these questions below. Keep reading to learn more about negative ions.   What are Negative Ions?  These little things are all around us. Especially when we are out in nature. Negative ions can easily sound like things that could harm us, but trust me, they do the exact opposite. Negative ions deliver a plethora of positive health and wellness benefits. In fact, it’s positive ions that are negative (go figure). What are ions—negative or positive? This is a good question. You likely have a recollection of learning this in science class, but let’s help you remember. Ions are molecules that can carry a positive or negative charge. So, as you can see, negative ions have, as you can imagine, a negative charge, and positive ions have (drumroll) a positive charge.  How are negative ions created? Well, nothing can be created or destroyed, as the Law of Conservation of Energy states, but things can be changed. Negative ions can be generated by radiation from the sun knocking off electrons or adding electrons to an atom which gives it either a positive or negative charge. This is why negative ions are so prominently found in nature.    How Negative Ions Work So what is an ion? It is a particle that has gained or lost an electron. Therefore (let’s break it down):  A positive ion is a particle that has lost an electron, making it positive;  A negative ion is a particle that has gained an electron, making it negative. It’s vital to note that an electron is the negatively-charged part of an atom.  The great thing about negative ions is that they can attach themselves to pathogens or allergens in the air. By doing this, they can render these particles inactive. This is why air ionizers are so popular. They can release negative ions that destroy particles that could cause allergies or illness. However, dust, mold spores, and pollen are not rendered inactive by negative ions. Because negative ions are produced by natural elements, they are rarely found in cities, and areas that lack natural splendor. This is why negative ions have become so important. And why air ionizers and other devices that produce negative ions have become so popular. Studies have demonstrated that smaller negative ions can be absorbed more easily by the body and provide countless health benefits. Let’s learn about those benefits.    Negative Ion Benefits  Negative ions deliver health and wellness benefits that researchers have shown can improve the well-being of the user. Here are some of the most popular and positive benefits of negative ions:  Improved sleep Decreased irritability Enhanced relaxation Eliminated allergens   Potentially relieve depression symptoms Negative ions can increase the flow of oxygen to the brain and around the body. This can improve alertness, reduce fatigue, and enhance mental agility. In fact, research by Columbia University found that people with the seasonal affective disorder (or seasonal depression) that were introduced to negative ions from a generator found some depression relief—in fact, it was just as much relief as those who took antidepressants. Other research has shown that negative ions can help people who suffer from allergies. Research suggests that allergens can be reduced with the use of negative ions; more research is needed.    How to Get More Negative Ions Here are just some of the ways you can receive the healthful benefit of negative ions:  Shower: That’s right, a shower can help you receive negative ions. Air Ionizers: Designed to purify air using electricity to produce negative ions, air ionizers distribute negative ions through your home. You can purchase an air ionizer as part of your HVAC system or as its own unit. UK hospitals demonstrated air ionizer’s effectiveness. The National Health Service (NHS) researched the effectiveness of air ionizers for purification. The end result was that air ionizers decreased infection rates in the hospital.  Negative Ion Bracelets: Most negative ion bracelets are made of silicone and are designed to promote health and wellness. Such positive effects associated with bracelets are: better energy, better moods, and enhancing the health of the individual wearer. Gemstone Heat Therapy Mats: Many gemstones naturally produce negative ions when heated. When heated, gemstone mats will generate negative ions. This helps enhance and improve the release of negative ions.    The Dangers of Negative Ions  We can’t rightly go over negative ions without also addressing some concerns that researchers have about the use of negative ions. Though negative ions do offer a lot of healthful positive benefits, some negative things can be associated with negative ions.  The products that deliver negative ions (air ionizers, negative ion bracelets, heat therapy devices) could be exposing users to adverse health conditions. For example, bracelets that deliver negative ions could be generating higher levels of radiation. Some studies suggest that silicone bands could release upwards of three times the amount of radiation that a normal user would be exposed to when not wearing the silicone band.  Though this may sound concerning, researchers, like the vice president for safety, health, environment & risk management at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, have concluded that this dose of radiation is not a significant amount and that it’s not something to be concerned with. But again, it’s something to think about.    Final Thoughts  Now that you know the answer to your questions “what is negative ion therapy?” and “how does it work?” you can start thinking about how you can receive negative ion therapy so you can enhance your health, wellness, and overall well-being.  Just a quick recap: negative ions can benefit your overall health and wellness. They deliver several positive benefits including: Enhanced relaxation Better sleep Ridding the air of allergens And much more.  Though there are some positive benefits, there are a small number of negative benefits associated with negative ions. Let’s go through those briefly. It is said that negative ions (that usually come from gemstones) can increase radiation exposure. Though, this is negligible; it is still something to consider.  But remember, there are a lot of ways to experience negative ions safely. Such as by using a HealthyLine device. HealthyLine offers a wide range of negative ion therapy devices that can enhance your well-being. Since 2013, HealthyLine has been the leading innovator in gemstone heat therapy technology. What is Magnetic Therapy and How Does It Work
Magnets are a material used in a wide range of everyday items and are used for a variety of purposes. Whether it’s something as simple as a refrigerator magnet or as advanced as an MRI machine, magnets are all around us! The energy that is created by magnets definitely has a lot of uses. But did you know that magnets can be used for therapy?     Believe it or not, magnetic therapy has actually been around for a few thousand years, although it has changed in a few ways. The ancient Chinese and Greeks were some of the first practitioners of magnetic therapy, placing magnetic stones on the body to heal it and promote wellness. Nowadays, magnetic therapy has evolved into electromagnetic therapy—though there are still a lot of ways to use traditional magnets for healing. What is Magnetic Therapy and How Does It Work   So, what is magnetic therapy? How does magnetic therapy work? These are some of the questions that most people ask when researching this topic, and they’re among some of the questions I’ll answer in this blog post. So, let’s get into what magnets and magnetic therapy are in general!   What is Magnetism  Magnets may seem like some mystical force that can influence other objects. While it does have the ability to do so, it really isn’t some kind of magical phenomenon. In fact, scientists today understand magnetism so well that it is applied in medicine, technology, and a myriad of other products and devices. So how does it work?   Magnetic energy fields are produced by magnets and essentially exert influence on moving electrical currents. Magnets are also able to influence certain objects called ferromagnets, most of which are metals like iron, nickel, and cobalt.    The past hundred-or-so years also saw the development of electromagnets. This differs from other magnets (called static magnets) as they do not naturally produce a magnetic field, but instead create one when an electrical current is applied. Electromagnets can produce a much more powerful magnetic energy field and are used often in medical equipment and technology.   But how are magnets used in therapy?    Magnetic Therapy As we’ve discussed, magnets are used in a wide range of tech products and other advanced devices, but how are they used in therapeutic devices? Understanding how these products work also gives us an understanding of how magnetic field therapy affects the body.   There are really two kinds of magnetic field therapy. The first and simpler form is called static magnetic therapy and involves the application of magnets on the body. These kinds of magnets do not produce as strong of a magnetic field and there is a lot of debate about whether this form of magnetic therapy is actually effective. Regardless, those who use static magnets for therapy swear by its results and can be worn as jewelry or bracelets as well as stones that can be placed on your body.    The other form of magnetic field therapy is electromagnetic field therapy. As stated before, electromagnets use electricity to generate a magnetic field. One of the most popular forms of this is called PEMF therapy and uses lower frequency magnetic waves to heal cells within your body.    At HealthyLine, we offer a range of static magnetic products (mainly bracelets and bedding). We are also well known for our PEMF therapy mats. But we can get more into HealthyLine’s magnetic products later on. First, let’s learn how magnets can work on your body!   How Does Magnetic Therapy Work? Magnetic therapy affects your body at a cellular and microscopic level. For example, static magnets are believed to improve circulation in your body. This improved state of blood flow can give you powerful health and wellness benefits. There have been many studies that demonstrate the use of magnets and health benefits, and others that debunk them.    On the other hand, there have been many reports that demonstrate the use of electromagnetic therapy and PEMF as an effective way to treat pain and improve your overall well-being. However, the science behind this form of magnetic therapy is a bit more complicated.    Each of the cells in your body has an electric and magnetic charge that influences the permeability of the cells’ membranes. Over time, these charges become weakened and so does the health of a cell. When our cells are weaker, they aren’t able to absorb nutrients and expel waste as well as they could in the past.    PEMF therapy can return the charges of our cells back to their normal, healthy state. This means that cells can function more efficiently. When your body’s cells are functioning at their best state, so is the rest of your body!   Health Benefits of Magnetic Therapy Okay. So, you now understand how magnetic therapy works on the body. But how does this translate into actual, noticeable health and wellness benefits? Well, there are actually quite a few ways that you can feel better from magnets, including: Reduced muscle pain and inflammation Improvements in arthritis and other joint conditions Better mood and less depression  Healing of bone injuries Let’s start with the first of these benefits. Muscle Pain and Inflammation Magnetic therapy is a great way to treat and reduce pain in your muscles and inflammation in the tissues. In fact, it helps ease the physical discomfort that follows your workout or exercise routine. This has to do with the effect magnets have on your circulation and blood. One study found that when a static magnetic field was placed on an injured area, that area had a significant reduction in inflammation.    PEMF therapy is also very effective at alleviating muscle pain. Whether it’s minor aches or chronic discomfort, PEMF is great at reducing pain. This has to do with the effect PEMF has on cells. Improved circulation is also another factor, as well. A 2007 study found that those with fibromyalgia that were treated with PEMF had reduced symptoms than those who were treated with a sham device.  Arthritis and Joint Pain Joint pain and conditions can also be improved through magnetic therapy. Magnetic therapy bracelets are specifically great to reduce pain in the wrist. For example, carpal tunnel is a condition that causes numbness and tingling in the wrist due to long term compression or repetitive movements. Magnetic bracelets have been considered a helpful tool to reduce these negative symptoms.    Just like PEMF can help treat muscle pain, it is also effective at alleviating joint pain in the hips, arms, legs, and more. A research review into the benefits of PEMF for those with arthritis noted that this form of magnetic therapy was capable of reducing symptoms. The review even found that the research indicated that PEMF had an anti-inflammatory effect on inflammation around the joints.   Mood and Depression Static magnetic therapy has always been considered a great way to naturally improve your mood and energy levels. It should be noted, however, that no study has been able to prove this with certainty. Regardless, who doesn’t want to be in a better mood!   Where magnetic therapy helps the most with mental health issues is with electromagnetic therapy. rTMS, or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, is often used for people suffering from chronic depression. It is specifically helpful for those who want a natural treatment method or those whose bodies do not respond to medication. PEMF therapy has also been known to treat depression as well as improve overall mood levels.  Bone Healing While static magnetic therapy isn’t used to heal or strengthen bones, PEMF therapy has been proven to aid in bone recovery. In fact, the FDA has even approved PEMF for nonunion and delayed bone fractures. This is because PEMF can optimize osteoblast function and generate more osteoblasts. This benefit of PEMF is also another reason why it is an effective tool for treating arthritis!    HealthyLine Magnet Therapy Products Here at HealthyLine, we offer a few different options for magnetic therapy. Below is a quick overview of some of our most popular.   Titanium Unisex Magnetic Power 4-in-1 Bracelet Our magnet energy bracelets are a great solution to deal with pain in the wrist as well as improve energy and circulation. What is Holistic Healing?
Holistic healing might sound like a supernatural form of medicine to some. However, it is a very real form of healing that takes the entirety of a person into account. The idea behind holistic healing is that balance is needed to achieve the highest levels of health. A person with an illness would then be perceived to have an imbalance either physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Here will explore the topic of holistic healing in depth so you can decide on holistic healing for yourself.   What are the Principles of Holistic Healing? As defined by the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine, the principles of holistic healing are as follows: Optimal Health: one of the primary principles of holistic healing, optimal health is the idea of the human body working and operating at its highest level. This is one of the main goals of holistic healing and focuses on achieving balance physically, environmentally, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Focusing on the Whole Person: holistic healing identifies the whole entity of an individual as a part of the healing process.  Treatment and Prevention: holistic healing has a unique focus on preparing the body to combat future illnesses while also optimizing current levels of health.  Innate Healing Power: the notion behind this idea is that all people have the ability to heal themselves of whatever is afflicting them. Holistic practitioners look to improve this natural ability.  Relationship-centered Care: much like the ideal doctor/patient relationship, holistic healers focus on the personal interactions between themselves and their patients. Individuality: holistic healing takes into account the individuality of each patient, altering and influencing how the illness is handled within the individual. The history of holistic healing dates back to ancient Chinese practices used over two millennia that originally involved the use of herbs, tai chi, and acupuncture. Over time holistic medicines and practices have evolved to include other forms of natural practices. However, not all people who practice holistic healing are made equal. There are some signs you should look for when looking to secure a holistic provider. Do your research before selecting a professional practitioner Make sure that you choose a practitioner that you’re comfortable with (the same way you feel with your regular doctor) Document the questions that you want to ask your practitioner so you get all the information you need Know what types of treatment your chosen practitioner will administer and whether you’re comfortable   How Holistic Healing has Evolved Holistic healing went from being a regionally used form of healing to being recognized worldwide. There are various forms of holistic treatments that exist as safe alternatives to other forms of potentially more harmful types of treatments. Now, instead of ingesting exotic roots and hoping they work, we have technology that has proven its effectiveness in certain situations. Technology has even combined the use of science and natural healing to deliver new ways to improve overall health and wellness. On top of that, holistic healing has a general advantage in that it doesn’t often have the side effects of typical types of treatments, such as medication.  A variety of holistic healing options are available to solve any number of ailments. Holistic healing can come in many forms, such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathy, and homeopathy. Even typical forms of holistic treatment can count towards bringing you to optimal health, such as a change in diet, exercise, and psychotherapy. Not only that but alternative forms of therapy, such as gemstone therapy or magnetic therapy, can help you reach optimal health, too! How Can You Obtain Holistic Healing at Home If you’re looking for an ideal form of holistic healing that can cater to your home life as well as your on-the-go life, HealthyLine has the perfect holistic item for you. The TAJ-Mat™ Chair 4018 Firm - Photon PEMF InfraMat Pro® is an exceptional way to deliver holistic healing at your leisure.  Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) allows for the mat to stimulate your cells, lessening aches and pains in the body while keeping you protected from EMF rays. Negative ion therapy enhances your wellness by helping to cleanse your mind and counteract the symptoms of depression. FIR (far infrared) therapy helps to temporarily decrease stiffness, inflammation, and minor forms of pain while also increasing blood circulation where applied. Photon light therapy helps to manage your energy levels while encouraging the body to detoxify itself and achieve higher levels of wellness. Finally, hot stone therapy helps to lower stress levels, relax your muscles, and make other forms of natural therapy more effective. The TAJ-Mat Chair is ideal for use at home when you’re lounging (watching television or reading a book) or for when you’re on the move (for a long commute or if you sit at a desk all day). Due to the mat’s flexible nature, it can be positioned in a chair for convenient use. It can also be laid flat if you want to use the mat during your sleep cycle. If you would rather have a larger mat for holistic healing in your home, the TAJ-Mat™ Full 7224 Firm - Photon PEMF InfraMat Pro® is a better fit. While it lacks the flexibility of the TAJ Mat Chair, the TAJ Mat Full can easily fit on a bed, the floor, or a massage table and can provide full therapy for your entire body. With the same natural therapies as the TAJ Mat Chair, you’ll receive the same benefits from your holistic therapy sessions and can enhance your levels of wellness all the same.   In Conclusion Holistic healing is a viable alternative to more traditional forms of medicine, especially in reference to the lack of side effects. If you’re looking for a holistic healer, be sure to do your due diligence when researching medical professionals and holistic forms of healing that you’re looking to use.  HealthyLine is dedicated to providing not only the best in holistic healing measures, but also in educating you about the benefits of receiving holistic healing. Knowing more about holistic healing is as important to HealthyLine as providing the very best in alternative medicine.

The How To's of Holistic Healing
When you think of healthcare, the first practices which come to mind might be numerous medications and invasive surgeries. As incredible as modern medical technologies are, there also can be dangerous side effects to such practices. Surgeries can cause additional pain and require long recovery periods. Strong medications can result in addiction and other possible side effects. In many instances, health issues can be relieved without such extreme measures. Practicing holistic healing ensures that serious treatments are reserved for serious cases. What is holistic healing, you might be wondering? The word “holistic” refers to a complete and entire overview. To understand something holistically means to understand how all of its parts work to create a whole. Holistic healing is an understanding that the body is one unit, and that health concerns in one area may be directly related to another.  Specifically, holistic healing emphasizes that the mind and the body are not mutually exclusive, but rather work in unison. When the body is not well, the mind is not at its fullest potential. Likewise, when the mind is not well, the body can feel the ramifications. A lot of physical pain can be linked to the state of mind.  Holistic healing is recognized as its own field due to its departure from traditional healthcare practices. For example, rather than treating headaches with ibuprofen or a stronger drug, a holistic healing approach would be to determine why the headaches are happening in the first place. Holistic healing aims to fix the root of an issue, rather than treat a symptom. Many doctors and medical schools have begun promoting and implementing holistic healing. Johns Hopkins Medicine acknowledges complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) as a legitimate and effective form of healthcare. While many modern doctors prioritize holistic healing, it can also be practiced at home. Whether recovering from illness, treating an injury, or focusing on preventative care, holistic healing can be the first step toward a healthier lifestyle.   Holistic Healing Arts Those who practice holistic healing deem it an art. Although seemingly simple, holistic healing requires your mind and body to constantly be in sync-- the first step to healing is awareness of an issue. For this reason, holistic healing is about far more than physical health; daily habits are major components of the process. While there are many practices associated with holistic healing, meditation, acupuncture, and aromatherapy are three of the most popular.   Meditation One of the most widely practiced forms of holistic healing is meditation. There is a clear connection between mental and physical health, especially under a holistic perspective that recognizes the body as one unit. Stress often manifests as physical pain; habitual meditation reduces stress levels and therefore can be considered a preventative measure. As with most activities, the benefits of meditation become stronger through time and practice.  Meditation can be practiced in groups or individually at home. Ultimately, it is an individual endeavor that is self-regulated. Only one knows whether one is fully immersed in the meditation session, as such one can adjust your practice to maximize the benefits. Tools can be used to heighten the benefits of meditation. One of the most effective ways of doing this is by introducing Far Infrared Rays (FIR) into your routine. There are many wellness benefits to FIR, such as a stronger vascular system and reduced skin aging. Studies also suggest that FIR can relieve symptoms of fibromyalgia.  As it is common to meditate using a variety of mats – the easiest way to introduce FIR into your meditation routine is to use a mat with incorporated FIR technology. This will ensure you are maximizing your meditation session every time! FIR mats come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, ranging from small mats to larger ones. Whether you prefer to sit or lay when you meditate, there is a perfect mat for you! The investment is worth the lifelong benefits. Acupuncture Acupuncture is a Chinese practice that has become popular across the globe. A common component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture intends to create harmony throughout the body. This is done through the insertion of needles into specific parts of the body. Acupuncture deals more so with the neural system, and energetics, than just punctures...  Acupuncture practitioners are trained to understand where to insert the needles in order to address patients' specific needs. Although many people are hesitant about the idea of being stuck with needles, the experience is very different from getting a shot or giving blood, as the insertion is much more shallow. Patients are happily surprised by how little discomfort there is during the session. Most return for additional treatments. Many people turn to acupuncture to resolve pain without taking medicine. The practice resolves the pain rather than masks it. Acupuncture patients often cite muscular pain or headaches as their reason for coming in, but tend to return to their practitioner frequently as preventative care.   Aromatherapy An increasingly popular practice associated with holistic healing is aromatherapy. Although the use of essential oils and scented candles is common in most American homes, aromatherapy is much more intentional than finding a favorite seasonal scent. The belief behind the practice is that certain natural scents and oils invigorate specific bodily functions, thereby enabling healing and wellness.  Aromatherapy can relieve conditions such as migraines, congestion, and nausea. People invested in holistic healing recognize aromatherapy as a quick fix for minor concerns. It is a fantastic option for anyone who frequently uses or depends upon pain medicine to get through their day. Some aromas have mental health benefits. Eucalyptus is used for stress relief and lavender can help the mind to relax. Aromatherapy requires knowledge of scents’ benefits but is one of the easiest methods of holistic healing.   Holistic Healing Music Therapy Even the earliest philosophers identified a connection between music and emotional health. Music therapy recognizes how the body reacts to certain acoustic frequencies. Music therapy became popular in the 1960s and is used for many different issues from stress relief to mental, emotional, and behavioral concerns. It has been shown to help treat depression and anxiety and is often used to help the elderly deal with memory loss associated with diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. Music therapy often requires trial and error, as individuals have musical preferences. It might take some time to identify the music which creates the desired emotional response but is highly effective once discovered. In most cases, music therapy is used in conjunction with other forms of therapy. Sometimes it is used by therapists in order to initiate a conversation, evaluate a patient’s emotional state, or to better understand a patient’s needs.   Holistic Healing Retreats Although daily holistic healing habits can produce great long-term results, sometimes we need immediate relief from pain or stress. Holistic healing retreats create the ultimate “mental health day”, allowing you to return to work at your fullest potential.  Feeling overwhelmed or overworked? Sometimes you need to physically remove yourself from a situation in order to come back with a clear plan for resolution. A day at the first-ever HealthyLine zen and wellness center might be exactly what you need! Our center offers a variety of different sessions, including Pain and Stress Management sessions on Far Infrared Gemstone Inframat Pro and an Immersive Far Infrared 360 Wrap Detox. Our services are known to promote deep relaxation, stress relief, reduced pain and inflammation, improved blood circulation, cellular detoxification, accelerated injury recovery, chakra balancing and cleansing, and ultimately improve overall wellness. Creating a healing environment in your home is the first step in crafting a holistic healing lifestyle. A space that is open, bright, and free of clutter is ideal for stress-free living. Dedicating a space in your home as a healing environment will give you an easily-accessible escape from troubles.   Holistic Self Healing Although there is plenty of research and support surrounding holistic healing, it is truly a personal endeavor. Some practices will resonate with certain people, while others might find more satisfaction through alternative routes. Regardless of which elements are prioritized, holistic healing is a healthy approach to wellness with endless short and long-term benefits. Holistic healing truly begins with lifestyle changes at home. These changes do not need to be drastic; you might find it easier to start small and work your way to full immersion. One way in which you can participate in holistic healing at home is by making simple changes that can improve your blood circulation. Proper circulation positively affects many daily functions, and enhances overall wellness. We’ve curated a list of 21 natural ways to improve blood circulation. Once you commit to some of these practices, you can continue to develop your lifestyle until you feel that your needs are being addressed in safe and positive ways. We hope that you now know not only what is holistic healing, but how it can change your life for the better. The first step to a healthier lifestyle is willingness to try new practices and create new habits. Take the first step today-- in no time at all, you will be so grateful you gave your body and mind the relief it deserves!

What is Far Infrared Therapy and How Does It Work
What is Far Infrared Therapy and How Does It Work   Some of you reading this may have heard the term “far-infrared therapy” before, but there are likely many of you that haven’t. Even if you have heard of it, you’re probably wondering, “What is far-infrared therapy and how does far-infrared therapy work?” Don’t worry; you’re not alone. These are common questions. And we have the answers.    In this blog post, both of these questions and hopefully any other ones you have will be answered! So, let’s start with the basics.   What is Far Infrared Therapy? Before we address the question “what is far-infrared therapy?” we should first go over what infrared radiation is in general. Infrared radiation is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that has a greater wavelength than visible light (it lies right above the wavelength of red light) but has a weaker wavelength than microwaves. It is often called infrared light, but don’t be fooled—it cannot be seen by the naked eye. In fact, infrared light can only be felt as heat!    Infrared radiation has a wavelength of 15 micrometers to 1 millimeter (or 1,000 micrometers). This obviously covers a wide range. The subset of infrared that we will be focusing our attention on is far-infrared light. There are also near and mid-infrared, but these forms of infrared radiation don’t offer as many health benefits as far-infrared.    Infrared light was discovered in the year 1800 by British scientist William Herschel when he conducted an experiment to measure the temperature of different wavelengths of visible light. He placed thermometers to each color of visible light that shined through a prism and also placed two thermometers past each end of the light spectrum. Oddly enough, he found that the thermometer placed beyond red light had the highest temperature. He had discovered infrared light.    Scientists later discovered that infrared light, specifically far-infrared light, has great potential as a form of therapy to alleviate discomfort in the body. Today, far-infrared therapy is a common treatment for a variety of ailments and conditions as far-infrared is believed to offer the most amount of wellness advantages when compared to other wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum.    How Far Infrared Therapy Works  Do you remember in your elementary school science class when your teacher taught you that the mitochondria were the powerhouse of your cells? Well, most people commonly think that only food and nutrients can provide energy to mitochondria. But, as it turns out, far-infrared can do this too since mitochondria have photoreceptors that can convert this heat into energy.    Think about it this way; the same way that plants convert sunlight into energy through photosynthesis, mitochondria can do the same with far-infrared light. The difference lies in the fact that plants rely on sunlight to survive, while human cells mostly rely on energy from food. Regardless, far-infrared therapy can give our cells and, in turn, our body the extra energy it needs to function at its best!   What Are Far Infrared’s Wellness Benefits?   So, what are the health benefits you can receive from far-infrared therapy? Well, there are actually quite a few. But the main ones we will cover are:   Alleviation of pain and inflammation  Back neck pain relief Arthritis and joint relief Detoxification and improved circulation Reduction of chronic fatigue symptoms Allergy relief   Let’s take a closer look at each of these benefits in a little more detail.   Alleviation of Pain and Inflammation Far-infrared therapy is capable of temporarily reducing pain and inflammation in our muscles and tissues. Because it is technically heated, far-infrared light can raise the temperature of the body. This helps relax muscles and allows higher amounts of oxygen to be absorbed, resulting in relief from pain.    Regarding inflammation, one research study that was conducted found that far-infrared treatment reduces and inhibits the presence of IL-6 and TNF-α in rats, both of which are chemicals that are related to inflammation. All of this information goes to show that far-infrared therapy is more effective than regular heating pads at not only relaxing the body but reducing pain and inflammation.    Lower Back Relief Pain and stiffness in the lower back is not an uncommon health issue. And the worst part about lower back pain is that it tends to cause pain elsewhere in the body, such as in your upper back, shoulders, and neck. Luckily enough, far-infrared therapy is a great way to loosen tension and provide relief for your back.    A study into office workers with lower back pain found that far-infrared therapy that was specifically applied to their back showed significant clinical improvements. The study also found that workplace productivity in these workers was increased by reducing the limitation of lower back pain.    Further research has been conducted into those suffering from chronic back pain for over six years. The results of this study found that after seven weeks of far-infrared treatment, participants showed on average a 50% decrease in pain levels for their chronic back pain. These studies, among many others, validate the effectiveness of far-infrared therapy for lower back pain.    Arthritis and Joint Relief There are many forms of arthritis and practically every single one of them can limit your daily life. Whether you have arthritis in your hands, back, legs, arms, or wherever—far-infrared therapy has been a proven tool for relief.    One study conducted with 18 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 18 patients with ankylosing spondylitis (a rare form of spinal arthritis) found that their symptoms of pain and stiffness were immediately and significantly reduced. They also reported reduced symptoms of fatigue following treatment. This is just another incredible health benefit that is provided by far-infrared therapy!    Detoxification and Improved Circulation Using far-infrared therapy is an effective, natural way to cleanse your blood and detoxify your body. This has powerful benefits for overall wellness such as energy levels, mood, and mental clarity. Furthermore, far-infrared heat is capable of temporarily enhancing the circulatory system.    A study into foot circulation in diabetic patients found that the application of far-infrared light resulted in positive effects on temperature, pulse, and blood flow in arteries of the foot. This study finds that far-infrared therapy not only offers benefits for circulation but also shows that it can reduce symptoms of diabetes as well.   Reduction of Chronic Fatigue Symptoms Chronic fatigue syndrome can feel like a weight on your mind and body that’s constantly pulling you down. Those who suffer from it typically feel lethargic and tired, experience sore throats and headaches, and can even have problems with memory and coordination.    Far-infrared therapy can help reduce these awful symptoms and bring energy into fatigued patients’ lives. A 2-person study found that far-infrared heat therapy dramatically reduced fatigue, pain, sleep problems after only 15 to 25 sessions. Even though the study was only conducted with 2 participants, it still shows a promising sign that far-infrared therapy can be an effective treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome.    Allergy relief Seasonal allergies may not be the most dangerous health condition you can experience, but it can certainly be an uncomfortable and unpleasant one. It can cause inflammation, headaches, a runny nose, and more.    There are many OTC medications you can take to reduce seasonal allergies, but utilizing far-infrared therapy is a completely natural form of treatment. A study into far-infrared therapy and seasonal allergies found that treating patients suffering allergy symptoms experienced improvements with eye itching, nasal itching and stuffiness, and sneezing; highlighting just another way that far-infrared therapy is a powerful health and wellness solution!   What is the Best Way to Receive Far Infrared Therapy?   There are dozens of products on the market that can provide far-infrared therapy. This is because every inch of your body can absorb the refreshing benefits of far-infrared rays. The far-infrared heat is naturally emitted by natural gemstones that release negative ions as well.    Negative ions provide even more health and wellness benefits, such as increased serotonin levels and improvement to lung function. Some of our mats also feature PEMF therapy, an advanced magnetic therapy that amplifies the effects of far-infrared heat, among other things.   There are certainly other far-infrared mats out there, so why is HealthyLine the best? Many of those other mats use cheap materials and can be dangerous to your health. For example, a lot of other brands’ heated wiring releases harmful EMFs.
