Can You Use PEMF Treatment for Cancer?

PEMF treatment has shown great promise with clinical trials, being used on mice who had breast cancer. The mice were separated into four groups and given different treatments in order to monitor how PEMF therapy influenced the tumors in the body. For multiple periods of time each day, these mice are given PEMF treatment for cancer. The result of the treatments saw the tumors reduce in size after a four week treatment session. Three of the four groups were given PEMF treatment for cancer while the last group did not receive any treatment as a control. The first three groups received PEMF treatment in intervals of 60, 180, and 360 minutes respectively. 

The results of this study showed that the mice treated with PEMF therapy for 60 and 180 minutes per day saw a decrease in the size of their tumors by between 30% to 70%, while mice treated with PEMF for 360 minutes per day saw an even greater improvement in their tumor size.

Another study (also involving mice) involved a different form of cancer with a slightly different method of treatment. These mice were treated with PEMF therapy for different periods of time, six days a week, for four weeks. Out of the existing groups being treated, two groups were not given any treatment. The groups of mice that were treated almost always saw some sort of improvement in their conditions.

When applied to people, PEMF treatment for cancer showed that constant treatments have positive effects on different types of cancer. The length of time dedicated to each therapy session seems to have an impact on how successful the treatment ends up being. Using PEMF treatment for cancer can be beneficial, especially for those who have adverse reactions to traditional cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.
