New York- May 13, 2020– HealthyLine, the world’s leading provider of far infrared heat therapy mats made with natural hot stones, has donated thousands of face masks, gloves, and other medical supplies to healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic response in New York and New Jersey, the two states hit hardest by the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States.
On Tuesday, May 12, International Nurses Day, HealthyLine donated hundreds of N95 masks, medical-grade gloves, and other supplies to thank and support the selfless nurses, doctors and other hospital staff at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (BNBMC), one of the hospitals in New Jersey’s COVID-19 epicenter in Bergen County. BNBMC is both the largest hospital and licensed nursing home in N.J. and the fourth-largest publicly-owned hospital in the nation with over 1,070 beds. On the same day, the company also donated PPE and supplies to Integrity House, one of the largest nonprofit providers of substance use disorder treatment in the state of New Jersey, for use at their Newark in-patient facility. Integrity House is committed to helping individuals and families through comprehensive, integrated addictions treatment and recovery support in a manner that brings about positive, long-term lifestyle change.
NYC- based HealthyLine expanded its donation efforts into New Jersey after supporting healthcare workers in New York City with PPE donations. Earlier this month, HealthyLine handed out PPE kits to front-line workers outside their Midtown Manhattan showroom during the city’s nightly salute to healthcare workers and first responders. The kits, comprised of much needed surgical face masks, N95 masks, medical-grade gloves, sanitizing wipes, mylar blankets, and additional gear, were handed out to help the brave men and women who are fighting in the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S. to protect and care for their fellow New Yorkers. Nurses, doctors, all additional hospital workers, and first responders were eligible for a donated PPE kit.
“We at HealthyLine are inspired by the men and women who are putting themselves at risk to take care of others’ physical, mental, and emotional health during this crisis,” said Lindsay Griesbach, Director of Brand Development & Strategic Partnerships at HealthyLine. “We are fortunate enough to be able to help the front-line healthcare workers and first responders in our city, as well as the healthcare providers at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Integrity House in New Jersey, who are providing life-saving services to our community during the COVID-19 outbreak by donating much-needed protective gear. As a brand that exists to promote health and well-being, we’re committed to doing everything we can to help keep the heroes who are getting us through this crisis safe and healthy.”
