With a background in various therapeutic settings focusing on traumatic abuse therapy, Lauren’s extensive experience spans working with clients from as young as three to adults in later life stages. She has worked with both perpetrators and victims of violence and sexual offenses, as well as with caretakers and significant others. Her experience includes responding to hospital advocacy calls, providing therapy to survivors, and offering support to those in helping professions. As a former Clinical Director of a rape crisis agency, Lauren supervised a team of therapists and interns, and she continues to train therapists and other professionals across Illinois through the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
Specializing in trauma, Lauren’s expertise encompasses various forms of trauma, including medical, interpersonal, religious, and preverbal trauma, as well as complex grief and long-term trauma. She also works with clients dealing with anxiety, panic, life transitions, shame, self-worth issues, postpartum difficulties, and phobias. Lauren is trained in EMDR, certified in Brainspotting, and holds certifications in telehealth interventions and compassion fatigue. She has received training in Complex PTSD, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Polyvagal Therapies, and somatic processing.
