    COPD is a diagnosable and medically manageable disease for which there is no cure. Most cases of chest infection and/or chest congestion is NOT related to COPD (fortunately). Most chest congestion is a symptom of a cold, flu or general upper respiratory track infection. To simplify, COPD is an incurable disease and chest congestion occurs with flare ups, but very few cases of chest congestion are caused by the disease COPD and instead, a symptom of a common cold or flu that is NOT chronic

Considered as a part of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), this disease manifests as a group of pulmonary problems leading to a difficulty in breathing.
